It is a bright yellow powder, with the consisteny of talcum powder, obtained from natural deposits of Sulphur that has antifungal and antiseptic properties. Uses for Horses - It can be used to treat and prevent:- Mud-Fever, Sweet-Itch, Ring Worm, Lice, Fleas & Ticks. Helps with most forms of skin irritation It is particurlarly useful when mixed with Pig Oil and applied to horses feathers, at a ratio of 10 parts Pig Oil to 1 part Flowers of Sulphur, to treat mud-borne infections. The Pig Oil acts as a barrier to stop the mud from clinging to the feathers and thus prevents parasites in the mud from attacking the horses legs. Other Uses- For domestic and farm animals:- excellent for minor cuts and wounds and skin irritations such as Mange, Flea allergies, Scabies, Eczema and Foot Rot, etc.., when made into a paste when combined with a barrier cream such as Udder Cream, Sudocrem or Liquid Paraffin and applied topically.
